TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the cuHacking website and portal ("Service"), operated by the cuHacking team at Carleton University ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

cuHacking provides hackathon event management including application submission, attendee check-in, team formation, hardware lending, event scheduling, and related functionality for cuHacking events.

3. User Accounts

You may sign in using a third-party authentication provider (Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when applying.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false or misleading information in your application
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
  • Impersonate any person or entity

5. Intellectual Property

Projects created during cuHacking events remain the intellectual property of their creators. The cuHacking name, logo, and website design are the property of the cuHacking team.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
